Most people have a specific preference, and often it depends on the severity of symptoms. Some people benefit from weekly, and others can only handle my mug once a month. We can decide together.
What type of therapy do you use?
I use a variety of therapy techniques depending on your goals and what works for you in particular. I draw from CBT, DBT, DARTT, and will use EMDR and Flash for things we want to tackle quickly.
What is a telehealth (online therapy) session and how does it work?
Telehealth is therapy from wherever you are at. It can be work, home, school, etc. as long as you are in a confidential location and in a state that I am licensed in (Oregon, Wisconsin and Washington). When you log into your TherapyNotes portal account, there is a link provided for us to connect.
What is your cancellation policy?
I request a 24 hour notice of cancellation. If less than 24 hours or no communication is made, I assess a $100 late cancel/no show fee that is not covered by insurance. There are some exceptions given for first responders given the nature of the job.
What forms of payment do you take?
I take cash, check, and all major credit cards.
